Black Panther:Wakanda Forever, the long awaited sequel to the 2018 superhero film is hitting theaters on Nov. 11th. And here at NKENNE, we are overwhelmed with excitement and anticipate its release in local theaters.

We’re also thrilled to announce that the NKENNE App is officially launching on the same day!

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever explores the tumultuous state of the kingdom of Wakanda after the death of King T’Challa. As they face foreign invasion and instability, the kingdom struggles to fill the power vacuum left by King T’Challa as well as ensure its survival.

As an Afrofuturist film, the movie explores the black experience in a technologically advanced dystopia, and concurrently captures the African historical narrative of oppression and foreign exploitation since the Age of Discovery in the 15th century.

NKENNE’s launch date is a strategic choice that reflects our belief of Africa’s immense technological potential and the continent’s ability to build itself back again even after centuries of colonization and exploitation. Like Wakanda, we believe that Africa’s development depends on a sense of continental unity and a drive to invest and protect the continent’s resources from exploitation. One way we hope to promote a sense of unity among Africans and the diaspora itself is through language learning and we are so excited to begin this language learning journey with you.

So as we lead up to our final days as a beta app, we ask that you share the app and the launch with friends and family. We have been working tirelessly for months to officially launch the app and we’re excited to build a community of life-long learners.

SO HEAD ON TO THE NKENNE APP AND START LEARNING TODAY!
